Taxes, Shipping, Return, and Refund Policy

Shipping & Handling

Ella's Emporium does not use "Shipping & Handling" charges as a way of gouging customers for more profits, as many companies do. We charge you no more than it costs us to package and ship your items from our central location in Rockford, Illinois to you and many times less than that. Your Shipping & Handling charge includes only (1) the calculated cost of the box, tape, bubble wrap, paper, and labeling for your items, and (2) the postage cost from our location to you.

We ship exclusively by United States Postal Service and due to the increases in costs, we will use parcel post for larger items.

If the combined weight of your order is:

under 1 lb, the charge will be $8,

from 1-2 lbs, $10,

from 2-3 lbs, $11

from 3-5 lbs, $12

and over 5 lbs, the charge will be $13

We do not currently ship to areas outside of the United States but we hope to add that service in the very near future.

And we also hope to add service to our service men and women at APO/FPO addresses soon, also.

Your handbag, purse, tote, or other item is first inspected inside and out for defects ( we will not ship any defective item), then it is wrapped for protection, sealed in a plastic bag, and boxed with bubble wrap n a high crush-strength box. It is then sealed with heavy-duty clear tape, labeled and shipped to you. We ship all items that we have in stock within 2 business days of receiving your order. Items that we do not have in stock are shipped within 2 business days of receipt from the manufacturer. Most out-of-stock items take three to fourteen days for the manufacturer to send them to us with seven days being the average. Any time an item is out of stock, we will let you know by e-mail that it is being ordered, when we receive it and when it has been shipped to you. Any questions or concerns you have about such an order will be responded to promptly.

Return & Refund Policy

All sales are final. Ella's Emporium expects you, the customer, to very thoroughly look over the amount of information we have given you and make your own decision about which items suit your needs. you have detailed color photographs, specific measurements, and detailed information about features, materials, and stylistic impressions to help you decide. Thus we will not accept returns under ordinary circumstances. We do inspect each and every item twice; first when we receive it from the manufacturer, and second when we package it for shipment to you. If you have a situation that is unusual, contact us by e-mail to discuss it.

Taxes Charged

The only taxes charged are Illinois sales tax of 8.25% upon Illinois customers.
