We just had our first real snow this year and I'm already fed up with it. I KNOW the water table needs to be replenished and all that. But I want the buds on the trees and the warmer air.
I can't even say I miss the birds singing because thanks to our bird feeder, we have a bird haven where they speed fly around the house, eat at the feeder, and gossip in the tree by the kitchen window.
Well...it'll come soon enough.

Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.....it always seems too fast paced.
I don't know about you but buying online has saved my sanity more times that I can could.
And I would hope Ella's might do that for you.

Autumn 2011
After a super hot summer, lt's already turning cool and wet. I hope that means the [;aces that REALLY need the rain will get it instead of the places already flooded.
School has started and the leaves will starts chagimg color soon. I hate to see the leaves go but there are other things to look forward to....like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
I've got a few examples of what we've got as far as party purses, backpacks for kids, and totes for Fall, and since babies come all year round, diaper bags.

Time for fresh starts, new beginnings, and a new purse.

I don't know about you but Christmas seems to sneak up on me every year. One minute the trees are starting to change color and ...POOF...it's past Thanksgiving and I've got a bunch of gifts to buy.
Unlike so many shoppers, I HATE THE CROWDS. I will not venture out anymore the day after Thanksgiving to shop. I virtually do ALL my Chritsmas shopping through the internet. As you might guess, I know my UPS driver, FEDEX driver and the Postman very well.
So, take advantage of the opportunity to sit back and shop without a fuss.

I can hear the locusts. That means it must be August already. Funny how no matter how old you are, that makes you think of getting ready to go back to school. The smell of that white paste in a jar. Lined paper and pens and pencils. New school clothes and PE uniforms with your name inside. Hot summer days and feeling lazy and a little bored. Going to the public library and reading books in the summer reading program.
It isn't quite the same now. The school supplies are different. I never had a computer a laptop.

My husband and I watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland last weekend. In one part, the Mad Hatter names all kinds of hats. He rattles off dozens of them so fast you can't keep up and finally someone just stops him. But I was thinking, if there are that many types of hats, how many names of purses and handbags and totes are there.
I'm going to try and start a list here and if anyone's reading this, they might give me some help.
I know that "pocketbook" came about early because at first they were the beginning of "pockets" in your clothes. -
Where to actually begin.
This story starts awhile before I actually turned the store live online. It starts about 2 years before. That's when my career of 30 years suddenly became toxic ( to use a word overused right now). My annual reviews were good. I felt I was doing a good job. I had just had a lovely 30th anniversary party. And suddenly nothing was good anymore. Nothing I could do was right. Nothing was quick enough. Everything was wrong.
Now you can make what you want of it but the fact is, I had hit my 30th anniversary at the company and my 55th birthday which made me eligible for an early retirement with a portion of my pension. -
In the next few weeks we will be adding some exciting new purses and totes.
